License Plate Recognition Products
We manufacture and market both OCR software and integrated OCR devices for Automatic Recognition of Vehicle License Plates: processing vehicle registration numbers (number plates) automatically by computer systems.
The CARMEN® ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology is highly accurate, cost-effective and fast. As proof of its success, A.R. Hungary is working with approximately 1,700 system integration clients across the globe, and operating many thousands of CARMEN® ANPR systems in more than 120 countries.
Through the combination of various software versions and available optional hardware, ARH Inc. offers a range of flexible solutions to system integration companies.

Document Reader Products
Our passport OCR reader products are designed to meet the latest demands of travel document reading, passport reading, visa and ID card OCR reading. We offer a range of products from a uniquely high-resolution, full-page passport scanner (passport capturing and recognition device) to a multiple-row (1-2-3) OCR reader for the MRZ.
In 1998 ARH Inc. decided to develop an automatic document reader and identifier that allows superior, fast and efficient document control. This became our new Desktop Document Reader series.
This was no easy task. The equipment would need to capture the security identification marks of the documents as well as read the data. In order to do this in normal light, both an ultra-violet and infra red image was necessary. The whole process should as fast as possible. The equipment had to be small, robust and designed for rough usage.
Our equipments have outstanding image quality in normal, UV and IR light, with an algorithm that results in an exceptionally high rate of character recognition. Additional unique features include reading bar codes, creating full-colour UV images, and detecting documents automatically.
Our new models also read the latest innovation technology: RFID chips printed in passports.
Each models are designed as optimum solutions for specific applications. They are easy to use, with no need for specially trained personnel. The equipment first senses when the document is inserted, then automatically creates the image (read the data stored in the RFID chip)and finally performs the analysis.
Mobile reader is also available, it is optimal for applications where the mobility is a must.
We offer our models also as an OEM product, and they are easy to integrate into kiosks.
It is a true sign of successful cooperation with our system integration clients that there are several thousand document reader units currently functioning in various applications: at airports, border controls, embassies, post offices, hotels and notary public offices.
